Artist’s Statement. If i must:
I’m a Toronto-based painter working in oil + acrylic.
My work exists in a tension between solitude and belonging- the need for distance, and the risk of becoming isolated.
I paint from observation, adjusting forms to inhabit the conflict we feel as individuals living together - with each other and our world.
